Vo-Tech Program - 11th and 12th Graders

The Vocational and Technical program through the Ulster County BOCES Center provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the 21st Century. Graduates leave the program prepared to enter college, post-secondary technical schools, and the workforce. Courses emphasize a hands-on approach and are designed for students to learn at their own pace. Courses are taught by experienced instructors with extensive job service in their respective fields. This program is a member of the High Schools That Work consortium, which is a national effort to improve the way all high school students are prepared for post-secondary education and work.

Most of the Vo-Tech programs are approved by the New York State Education Department. NYSED approval allows students to earn their English and Math credits at BOCES for courses that are integrated into the trade curriculum. Graduates who pass an industry-based technical assessment earn the distinction of having a Career Technical Endorsement added to their Regents diplomas. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and will be filled out at course selection time.
